Graduation Recognition
A blessing and recognition are given to our
High School graduates during worship
in early June.
Blessing of Backpacks
A blessing and a gift are given to all who are returning to school (students, teachers, bus drivers, etc.). This blessing is given on the
last Sunday of August.
First Communion
As we continue to re-vision & reimagine because of how the world has changed over the last two years, we have decided to make some changes to how we do First Communion. With the approval of the Church Council, we have decided to celebrate First Communion like we do with Baptisms here at First United.
Instead of group sessions for chalice making and group instruction, we will offer individual family sessions. After the completion of instruction, we will schedule a Thursday or Sunday worship service that works for your family. We can safely schedule two families per worship service for their child’s First Communion.
We will use Sign-Up Genius to schedule individual family sessions. Instruction/Chalice making can be done with one session that will last an hour.
